appeal of terminated membership as I was accused on non disclosure with recent emergency hospital admission

I write to you with a very sore heart and very upset about the whole process and treatment since being on the medical aid for unfortunately less than 1 year and treatment from Renata and a number of people from Momentum since my hospital admission.

I do strongly appeal the termination as I have previously communicated everything to Renata in my passed few emails today and Charl, upon joining this fund.

My hospital stay was unfortunately not authorised, neither was any of my treatments, for something which I ended up in the ER as an emergency.

I went to my GP, Dr Russel on 27th May for dizziness. Upon sitting in the ER late that afternoon, my right side of my face pulled skew and had difficulty speaking and swallowing. I then went back to the ER the next morning, as the difficulty speaking got worse, as well as the skewness and felt really ill.

Upon laying in the ER, a representative of Momentum,over the phone said to me I must get up from my bed to arrange the authorisation myself. Upon laying in hospital from 28th May to 30th May, I could not be properly treated, as medical aid was investigating! I was told to wait for the dust to settle, while an investigation of my background is done.

I could not give you a diagnosis of which i did not have. Not 1 dr that i have ever been to gave me a diagnosis. I was told by the facial specialist and speech the****** that saw me in hospital, that I have facial palsy, not bells palsy, which is 2 different things. The neurologist Dr Burger, who saw me in hospital also told me it is facial palsy. It also could not be confirmed as an mri scan was not done due to the medical aid not approving it as i am on the membership for less than a year. also i got no paperwork from the dr or anything in writing to say it is bells palsy or anything relating to a diagnosis

Idid not lie about anything. I also did not know i was going to go to hospital for something which happened within a few hours of me being admitted on 28th May 2025. everyone gets sick and does not feel well, but how do you remember to say that you have been to the dr for flu, for tiredness which falls under my depression which i disclosed but to think i never stated i went to hospital before for headaches, over the passed few years, of which i never received a diagnosis for and falls under your non disclosure, is very disturbing to me.

How do you say i am convening everything of non disclosure.

I went through everything very carefully when joining and revealing to Charl what i had.

I was also told by numerous people at Momentum that this is not seen in an emergency, only in a car accident, will i been seen to as an emergency. this was also not specified to me when i joined the fund.

I received a letter from membership, stating there is no waiting period.

How do I know I am going to get sick, like Renata thinks.

Up till this day I am having difficulty and this whole matter has left me very ill.

I am also left with bills of thousands of rands, which should actually be paid by the medical aid, as my memberhip states no waiting period. How do deny somebody treatment for a non disclosure of everything i had disclosed.

I was also told, just today, that I have a condition, which I never even knew about, Reactive Lymph Nodes, of a report which she discovered. The Dr told me nothing was wrong and now I get told by an agent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I sincerely ask you to relook this whole situation as a matter of urgency and to reinstate my membership and I can not speak with Renata or other members of Momentum, as much distress has been caused.
