Appaled and shocked and an emergent situation being overlooked!

I am highly shocked and in disbelief as to how ******** Momentum Health is when it comes to rabies. My family dog has contracted rabies, Myself my husband and two young children (4 and 8 years old) have been exposed. I have been told by Momentum that they will only approve treatment for the exposure treatment if we have been bitten. Thee have been numerous cases of people dying from rabies in my area for a dog only licking them. There have been many campaigns recently about how easy it is to contract this deadly virus through a simple lick scratch bite or even by the dog barking in close vicinity to you. This being our family dog we have all been licked in the face by our dog. As you can imagine my children more than us as they constantly play with them. The virus is highly contagious through saliva and coming into contact with any other person or animals saliva membranes. You would think as a medical aid you would have these facts and know that once you have been exposed you have merely 6 days to receive treatment. Once symptoms of this virus appear it is almost 100% fatal and that only 7 people in the entire world have ever survived full blown rabies. My doctor has told us to go IMMEDIATELY for the treatment, n=but Momentum are refusing to authorize it. This is not a small think. This is a deadly virus and is very rife at the moment in my area. (not even his own) A man has dies from a dog licking his hand. there are so many news reports about this. My family has been with Momentum health for over twelve years too. What are you going to do about this?? leave us at the mercy of this deadly virus????? A prompt reply would be much appreciated as I am running out of time. This is day four of exposure and we have a mere two days left for exposure treatment.
