almost a week waiting for hospital authorization

I went to see the specialist last week Thursday and the visit was hassle free,until of cause he discovered I had to go for surgery,he contacted the scheme for authorisation and till this day I haven't been attended to,cant go to work,no medication and no indication of how long I'll be left unattended to, I cant even give an indication of how long I'll be away from work.I regret choosing this medical aid, my previous one never gave me such drama,I have tones of reference numbers which seem to be given out like Christmas cards and nothing is done about the follow up.<br> Im suffering in miserable pain and they just dont care.
