3 months Waiting period

I joined Momentum health beginning of February 2021 and i was placed on 3 months probation period. I just asked my financial adviser about the waiting period and apparently one has 90 days between medical aid companies before a waiting period can be put in place. My last day on my previous medical aid was 31/12/2020 so why did momentum impose this 3 months waiting period. looking forward to hearing from you
