NONEXISTENT SERVICE DELIVERY

I took my son to the licensing department yesterday morning as he urgently needs to renew his driver’s license. His new job (which took him a full year to secure) depends on having a license. What an utter surprise when we saw the notice on the door that one now needs to have an appointment!! Why was this not advertised last year in the newspaper? Do you always spring surprises on the public?

We tried for some time to make an appointment but not a SINGLE DLTC in the whole of Gauteng has any available slots. How am I supposed to make an appointment? On top of it all, someone tells me that if I pay a certain person R100.00 an appointment can be arranged within a week or so. Is this another bit of *******ion rearing its ugly head? Are the licensing department “selling” slots to this person who then makes a little profit by reselling slots?????? How else can this person obtains slots when NONE are available?????

No wonder people start burning municipal building when they have to tolerate this shocking kind of service.

I have sent e-mails to just about everybody in the local municipality as well as to my ward councillor and I have NOT RECEIVED A SINGLE REPLY!!
