Lies, ***** & Theft

I emailed this to your "customer support" address last week but the lack of response further confirms my suspicion that this "company" is not legitimate and that ***** and theft has taken place. Please see my original email below. And to confirm - I said that I authorised "Mobius" to debit R99 for a wifi ****le, no more, and for nothing else. The fact that I have been debited different amounts by different "companies" is theft alay and I am willing to report this to the consumer protection council and lay a charge to this end with the SAPS should the situation not be resolved. My promise of taking this to Twitter has not been followed becuase these ********** have not got a presence on the site.

I was contacted on 17 June regarding your "wifi product" which I was told I had been preapproved for. Despite never taking up such "offers" I was persuaded by your effective sales team to take up a contract for unlimited wifi on a device for R99 per month after being promised that I would be sent a copy of that recording via email. I'm still waiting to be sent anything other than several sms's by your "company".

The offer seemed good value for money despite seeming too good to be true - I suppose the saying holds true and I should have trusted my reluctant gut in the first place, however, in this instance I verbally agreed to pay R99 only for that service only. During the conversation I was informed of 2 "value-added services" that would be included at no extra charge - "Hotspotter" and "Rescuebox". Afterwards I received multiple sms's confirming my "order" - from "Mobius," "Hotspotter" and "Rescuebox"

After the week of supposed delivery had passed without receiving the product I agreed to, I called your "company" to enquire and was told that it had been declined. Being the financially conscious person I am, I organised a credit check to be conducted and recieved a positive result, which added to my confusion over why my "order" had been declined. But I thought nothing much of it otherwise.

That is, until 29 July, when 2 amounts of money that I had never been informed about nor agreed to were debited by "Hotspotter" and "Rescuebox" - services which I had never provided my banking details to and which I have never agreed to pay for ot requested.

I called your "company" to enquire about these ********** debits that were related to "Mobius" and spoke to someone who indicated that this should not have happened and that I should send a statement to your "customer support department" to reverse the payments and remedy the situation.

I have not received any service from any of these 3 "companies" nor have I ever provided my banking details to "Hotspotter" and "Rescuebox" or consented to have money debited from my account.

Unfortunately my record of who I spoke to has since been misplaced so I am unable to provide names of the people I spoke to but I trust that all 3 recordings will be forwarded to me if your "business" is legitimate (which I am unconvinced of at this moment in time). I was promised the first and am requesting the latter 2 at this time seeing as the first was offered.

The person I spoke to to get your email again was Claudette Pillay - who was very reluctant to give me her name. I wonder if she is concerned about having her name associated with your "company". (it certainly seemed so).

Please see my bank statement (not included on Hello Peter for my protection but check your email account to find it) with the two ********** payments attached. I am requesting that these payments be reversed as no services have been requested or rendered by these "companies" associated with "Mobius." Though I feel that it goes without saying, I do not expect these debits repeated without consent going forward. (Edit - I have reversed and stopped these via my bank myself but should this not have been remedied or should the situation continue, I will be happy to take the mentioned actions).

Should you neglect to respond to this request, I will report your "company" to the consumer protection council and/or the SAPS as *****/theft via my bank. I am trying to reverse these payments anyway and have already reported the ***** to my bank, but I trust that if your "company" is indeed legitimate, your branding department would not want such step to be taken, which will certainly also be recorded via twitter and/or facebook.
