*********** WORKERS - COMPANY -***** & *******!

I am so very fed up with MOBILE TALK. I dont know what else to do but review them so as to inform naive consumers of this ****************.

My husband and I just bought a new house and the transfer was being registered at the time of the call. We were in need of internet and were looking at options when we recieved a call from Mobile Talk. We planned to move in at the end of the month.

1). Sales: I received a call from a consultant (Brandon). He informed me of high speed LTE with Mobile Talk through Telkom for 20gig caped for about R420 plus an initiation fee on R150. He PROMISED the Lte would work properly without buffering and good signal. I was sceptical so I told him to call me the next working day as I wanted a second opinion from a friend of mine who had the same router. My friend suggested that he test the router at my place and maybe get a technician from Mobile Talk out to our place to test the signal.

Brandon called me as promised and i informed him that I needed a tech guy to come and test the signal at the new house. I was informed that this service was not offered to LTE users. He then PROMISED me again that this device would work and i should take it now as there is a cooling off period of 14 DAYS!.

I made a point of repeating everything the consultant said as the calls were recorded. The important part is that I told the consultant that I was only going to move into my new house at the end of the month and I could not test the device within the cooling of period of 14 DAYS(cooling off period as the consultant told me). He then said that the delivery time for the router will be between 14 and 21 working days! I f that were the case I would have recieved the router at the very earliest- 2weeks time and still had a further 14 days to test the router at my new house when I moved in (that totals to 1month). This would co-incide perfectly with the date I was moving in and i would have had a week to test the router.

I was happy with that plan so I finalised the purchase, taking the above information to be the truth.

Delivery: 4 days! 4 days after the phone call i recieve a delivery with the router (not 14 days minimum as I was told). This was bad as it meant the cooling of period would start from that date and not from 14 days delivery as I was told.

Aftersales #1: I called the Mobile talk call center and enquired as to why I have received the router so early. I explained to the consultant that I needed to be delivered in the promised 14 days minimum as I had not moved into my new house as yet and I still needed to test the router in the home and if it does not work well then I would still have the 14days cooling off period.

On mentioning the 14days cooling off period - The new consultant the informed me that the cooling of period is 7days!

I was immediately escalated to higher management and was told that they would get back to me on what cooling of period they would offer me after hearing the voice recordings from the initial consultant (Brandon).

Aftersales #2: I called the call center probably every day that week. Everyone told me that the case has been escalated and I have to wait. Only the next week I received a call from higher management.

AFTERSALES #3: Higher management told me that the voice recordings shows that I was misinformed. I told the manager that I wish to just cancel everything and they can take back the router (I didnt even open the packaging). The manager told me that they will send some to fetch the router and the cancellation fee would be paid by the cosultant who told me that the cooling of period was 14 days when it was actually 7 days. The router was picked up as promised about a week later.

Charges to my account #1: I was charged R150 for the initiation. I don't know why. I was so fed up at this point I didnt even question it! I was just wanted to get them of my back. They were *********** to handle basic issues I didnt even want to know what happens when refunds were involved.

STATEMENT FROM TELKOM: I received an invoice that I will be billed. I went into TELKOM STORE to enquire and a very helpful and concerned man assisted me and even called MOBILE TALK for me. He spoke to LILLIAN and she said that I will not be debited as the account is closed on MOBILE TALKS side. the Telkom guy asked for it to be emailed and to date I ave received to such email.

AFTERSALES #4: I called the call center to tell them the router had been picked up and they should make sure no further debits go off my account. I was informed by consultant LILLIAN that no further debits will go off my account and that the accound has been closed.

Charges to my account #2: LOW AND BEHOLD- I was charged for 2 months! They debited R824.22 on Tuesday the 26th of April 2016.

AFTERSALES #5: I immediately called the call center again and queried. After taking another half an hour to explain what happen the consultant tells me that she will send this to accounts for a refund and accounts will call me.

AFTERSALES #6: Accounts didnt call. I callled the call center on the 3rd of MAY 2016. Accounts said they will refund the money and no further monies will be debited (At this point I would have believe a convicted ******er over them). POINT TO NOTE: The consultant told me that it would take 72 working hours for the money to be transfered. This from the date of the 3rd of May would be somewhere around the 16th of May.

AFTERSALES #7: 16th May- No refund received. I called the call center AGAIN. They tell me its not 72 working hours is 7 to 10 working days. (ZINHLE)

I told them that i want this in writing on an email and I wouldnt put the phome down till its in my inbox. I waited for 57 MINUTES to receive and email . Still no email.

I get an sms with these exact words. " the turn around time of the payment was expained on the case its 7 to 10 working days"

No information as to who its from. The consultant told me she'll call me back . I wont hold my breath.

I am still waiting for my refund. If i do not receive it by tomorrow im making a trip to the ombud for sure.

So sick of this sorry excuse for a company!
