Cannot make calls with airtime loaded

I am trying to contact telkom but keep getting the voice promps(machine) that keep on sending me sms. This helps nothing. I load airtime on my phone but keep getting a voice message saying I have insufficient airtime to make a call. This is a big problem and can only use data. My line a of business is making appointments with clienta so I need to call them. Please assist.
