BEWARE of Mobile Talk!

<p>At the end of August I received a call from Mobile Talk, claiming to be part of Telkom Mobile, and offering me an unbelievable UNLIMITED data deal. After spending almost 2 hours with the agent over two phones calls that day, I clarified the offer and accepted it because it was a no brainer!</p> <p> </p> <p>After closing the deal, I called back within 30min as I changed my mind on one of the extras. When the customer service consultant answered the call, she informed me of a totally different deal that I signed up for with only 1GB data per month (which proved that the sales team duped me into signing up)! I immediately cancelled the entire deal and followed up via email. As it was way within the cooling off period without me obtaining, receiving or activating anything, the consultant cancelled the deal and said I am not liable for any fees or payments of any kind.</p> <p> </p> <p>I wanted it in writing, which took a few days... I received confirmation in email that it has been closed, without any apology from Mobile Talk on behalf of the deceptive sales pitch!</p> <p>When I spoke to the customer service consultants to lay a complaint, they would not put me through to a manager and instead keat on putting me through to the Sales team...but interestingly enough...the call cut over and over again from both my cellphone and office line over a period of days! Very suspicious indeed!!!! </p> <p> </p> <p>Today, 17 Sep, I saw that they deducted R139 from my bank account, which was not even supposed to be the debit date if I still went through with the deal!!!! I am SO FURIOUS and DEMAND that they IMMEDIATELY REFUND MY MONEY! I am reporting Mobile Talk as: 1. They duped me into believing I'm getting unlimited data along with many other things when selling the contract to me 2. They did not cancel my order and 3. They deducted money from my bank account. Even if I went through with the deal, they were supposed to deliver the device to me to activate and then deduct money on the 1st Oct! </p> <p> </p> <p>I DEMAND THAT I RECEIVE MY REFUND AND MOBILE TALK DELETES THE DEBIT ORDER AND ALL MY PERSONAL INFORMATION.</p> <p> </p> <p>NOTE: I don't want to deal with your ineffective Contact Centre that lies and cuts my calls when trying to lay a complaint. </p> <p> </p> <p>REFUND MY MONEY AND STAY AWAY FROM ME!</p> <p> </p> <p>Mia</p>
