Airtime ripoff

I have been loading airtime where if I load for R30.00 I will get R30.00 free now when I make calls telkom takes from the free and my main airtime how is that possible.I tested again today with a R12.00 voucher and made 2 calls and I was billed twice both free and main airtime gone
