Banned from ever reopening the account because I closed it to avoid incurring fees

I had a Mobicred account which assisted me in a time of need, I settled the account and asked for it to be closed as I didn't need it at the time and I did not want it to remain open, and incur fees. When I needed it again I tried to reopen it and I was told that IT WILL NEVER BE OPEN AGAIN and I CANNOT reapply EVER AGAIN, I don't understand this, must we really keep an account open and pay monthly fees for Nothing? And how long is this BAN for? When you say NEVER, do you mean that we cannot use the facility in future even if we qualify and were never bad payers? What a bummer 😞
