MMA CARS PINETOWN - FORD ECOSPORT ONGOING ISSUES

I have taken a 2021 Ford EcoSport 1litre Turbo Titanium Car though MMA Cars towards the end of November 2025 on a Finance Deal with MFC.

After driving the car for a few weeks the wrench tool light came on the 5 January 2026 and so I contacted the sales person and he told me that I can only bring the car in car in on the Wednesday as the workshop will only be up and running then.

I took the car in on the Monday and the workshop managed to clear the fault though a third party workshop. On the 13th January 2026 I was driving to a client when the car started smoking a blue smoke and the wrench tool light and engine light came on and all power from the car was lost, I drove the car directly to the dealership and dropped the car off as it was not drivable.

I then was following up every second or third day with Riaan - Sales Executive who sold me the car for an update and eventually he came back to me saying there was a engine problem, pistol 1 and 2 where an issue and that his Dealer Principal - Mike will call me to discuss the next step.

Mike called me on the Friday 23 January 2026 and told they have the right to repair first and I told him that I didn't want the car back as its got a major issue and that I wanted to be put into a different car to which he said they will request a settlement for the current car and trade it in and then I will have to refinance another car and the full settlement which be added.

I told him again that I didn't want the current car back as I was not happy with the problems I have experienced.

I feel like I am being bul**** into a repair and to top it off they even tried to do the claim for the repair on my current extended warranty which I didn't approve.

Whilst they did give me a loan car to drive, when my EcoSport was repaired they gave me an ultimatum to take my car as they wanted there loan car back.

The EcoSport was delivered on Thursday the 2 April 2026 and it gave me problems again with the Service Light coming on again, the car is back in the workshop again.
