I have a Beamie tracker with with Mix Telematics. I took it out in August 2015 when I got my 1st car. June 2016 my car was written off. I never canceled the contract. October 2016 I got a new car, same car just a different year module and obviously a different VIN. I then called Mix Telematics to come and have the Beamie installed in a new car and have that old one canceled cause I don't have it anymore. They said they will not charge a joining fee because it's just a transfer to a different vehicle. Indeed I was not charged a joining fee but the price had increased. I thought "oh maybe it's expensive now" then moved on. November /December 2018 I got a call from Mix Telematics saying that the couldn't locate my tracker. They had someone coming over to check what's wrong. When that person got there. He had the old VIN number and not the new one. That's when I realized I was actually getting charged twice. For the car that was written off and for the other I got after. The VIN number wasn't corresponding. I called them and they said they will get a recording and get back to me. If they find out that I did mention to the call center agent to have the previous one canceled (which I did) they will refund me all my installmentsbfor the past 2 years. They promised to have the previous one canceled in the meantime. End of January 2019 I still got charged twice, meaning it wasn't canceled. I've been trying to get my refunds with no luck. I get sent from pila to post.. I think it's unprofessional of them to be missing such things that costs the client money then drag their feet when they are supposed to refund clients.
