Most Unprofessional and dishonest sales ethics

I was sold a product over the phone by a salesman who said he was just doing an upgrade to my old system, only to find they were installing a completely new device and I only realized this when they started to debit my account. I tried calling the company several times with no answers, I tried e-mailing the complaints department, they acknowledge receipt but no-one gets back to me. I asked them to play the recording of the salesman over the phone since all calls are recorded and it is now almost a year and they have not come back to me but every month they debit my account which is I find to be totally unprofessional and dishonest of the company. I am still waiting for a reply on the issue a year later. I also phoned the cancellation department and they said I had to pay up the full amount before they can proceed with the cancellation, despite stating that I needed them to listen to the recording since I was sold this product under the incorrect information.
