Matrix Vehicle Tracker

We were involved in a horrible head-on collision with a Coal Side Tipper truck in November 2023. Firstly, the matrix system did not record a collision even though the large SUV is a total write-off as the entire front portion of the car was destroyed. The additional panic button feature option to assist in emergencies did neither work nor emergency services or contacts contacted. When you engage a vehicle tracking company, ensure that they can provide what you are paying for. In addition I have struggled for 8 months to get the contract cancelled although the 36 month minimum term had expired in July 2023. We are now 10 months down the line and after receiving a Final Demand letter, I budged and paid to their demand. In principle I am however not satisfied as when I really thought I was covered during emergency situations where you cannot help yourself, the technology in the device fails when it matters most. When you have faced death, your perception to what you receive when paying loyally towards something, changes if it does not assist as promised. Yet the company is willing to submit your detail to the Credit Bureau and issue final demand letters in terms of the NCA

Reviewer Update
  • Thanks for the initial response whereby I explained the situation to the lady on the phone.
  • The Relevant Department has not contacted me yet.
  • I found it extremely arrogant to state that they referred to agreed provision of certain services but when I required the services in an emergency the services paid for did not react
  • I paid the full and final settlement of the account on 12 September 2024 to close the account.
  • I attached my POP for final settlement and closure of all my business with Mix Telematics on 12 September 2024.
  • I requested them to acknowledge my payment received and to send the confirmation of the full and final closure of my dealings with Mix Telematics.
  • None of the requests made or further communication had been received to date.
  • I am still listed on Experian Credit Buro by Mix Telematics as having missed payments records and the missed term increases every month.
  • Seems it is very easy to make final demands but not so easy to rectify Mix Telematics own record keeping system.
