Beame dropped the ball

Beame had dropped the ball. In 2011, the university of ****** risk management faculty indicated that Beame was a new innovative wireless vehicle tracking device that will change the world of car tracking devices. On this recommendation I installed one in my new car in 2011. I was highly impressed with the service. They contacted me when the Beame battery was low, and a new one was installed. Beame used to send out messages and e-mails. But they stopped doing it about two years back. I bought my wife a new car in December 2020, and placed it on my insurance policy. When I received the updated policy, I saw that Beame, and MixTelematics are no longer an approved vehicle recovery system. I googled Beam-e and saw that they have now an App that you can use to connect to your Beam-e. I downloaded the App, but even standing next to my car, it did not pick up the unit. I contacted Beame the following day, you can only do that through "chat". I requested the assistant to trace my Beame, and indicate what the status is. It took 40 minutes, they could not find my Beame. I was still paying monthly for it. When I enquired about the fact that I was not contacted or informed about my Beame's status, the reply was that you must contact Beame every month to find out if it is still working. So think twice before you buy a Beame, although it is now the cheapest: Is it recognized by your insurance company, and do you have 40 minutes every month to contact Beame to find out if it is still working?
