Barely sufficient but unfortunately not good enough!!

Over the weekend of 7 August, my vehicle was taken - together with my son and his neighbour. When contacted, BeamE (Mix-Telematics) provided me with a location for the night before - not on the day/time of my request. You can imagine how unhelpful that was - lives were @ stake!! Later Friday evening it was established that the tracker was removed. BeamE, had no knowledge that the device was tampered with. Fortunately my son and friend were found and the vehicle was also recovered Sunday. But during the course of this ordeal, BeamE could not provide any real-time information and were most unhelpful. I called them at least 3-times before they started returning my calls. Their product is a **** - just a money-grabbing ploy. Its a bottom of the market device thats' no use in an emergency. When I bought into it I was given all sorts of stories on how it would be used in the event of an incident. The proof is in eating the pudding. Later SAPS wanted a 3-week record of were the vehicle had been. No guessing - BeamE could not provide such a report. They referred me back to my policy; reminding me I had signed-up for junk. Sum Total: Their product is a well-orchestrated marketing ploy!! Beware.
