Avoid Matrix as far as you can!

I have been a member with Matrix for a few years. 30th of April my vehicle didn't want to start and I had to get to work. I used my husbands car as he was off. Later that morning he was called to work, but due to car not starting we needed assistance. I contacted Matrix vehicle tracking and they were happy to assist as I have the MX3 installed. They requested First road and they jumped the vehicle. About a week ago I got a sms to say my account is in arrears with R399.00. Not sure what for as my membership is R232.00, I called call centre and was informed it was for roadside assistance. Their website https://www.matrix.co.za/medical-roadside-assistance, clearly states they will pay for call out and 1 hour labour in the event of a jump start. THey argue that they only pay R500.00 and the rest is for the client. This is contradicting to your website. I have asked for the first road invoice and still awaiting. I have escalated this numerous times and then this manager is not available or that person is not in the office. Eventually a lady called me and said she will escalated. They then proceeded with doing an unauthorized debit order on my account for the R399.00. I contacted the lady again and she confirmed this was unauthorized and once again will escalated. Their service is pathetic! They are quick to debit your account and take money, but once you have a query there is no assistance. I contact First road and they said they charge R450.00 a jump start. Why is Matrix then charging R899.00? Previously my car was being driven with geoloc enabled. When I realised it I contacted call centre as this is a concern and they should have picked up a signal. Their excuse was it is due to MTN network and they only received the alert when I phoned them. Almost an hour after my car was driving around. SO in the event of it being ****** or hijacked I should hope and pray the MTN network is working??? I have emailed customer care and all you get is an auto reply saying we have received your query. I will not advice anyone to go with Matrix and see this a breech of contract. You can not charge me for a service not delivered!

It seems like the only way you get a response from Mixtelematics is when you go public. I have been trying to sort this out telephonic and every time they cut the call. The public should be aware of what kind of service they will be receiving from Matrix should they choose to go with them. I am still awaiting refund as per their agreement. October I gave a month notice to end my membership which Matrix rep**** and terminated effective immediately after taking membership fees for October. This is by far the worst company I have dealt with.
