Pathetic service

To whom it may concern.

I Mrs A Benting had visited thee Lenteguer District Hospital In Mitchells Plain today on the 24/11/22,with refferal from my GP. However thee intial date had been the 24/10/22 But with incorrect contact deatails,my confirmation of thee appointment was sent to the incorrect no: on that specific day I had also called the hospital just to enquire as to when my appointment is,then to find out it was that same day and the information they had of me was not mine,Never the less I had then asked them to reshedule me for another date,and the appointment department out patients had then given me the 24th Nov 22 for 7am......only to come there today and they have scheuled me for the 28th Nov 22 without notifying me of the change,I had explained that they have given me this date for today and they refused to acknowledge there mirstake. I had also explained that I have a daughter thats going for operation on the 28/29th Nov and that I was unable to make it for that date....after back and forth I had told the lady at reception I would take the date for the 28th as i realized the severaty of my confition and id make a plan to be their then join up at my daughter,after.A Gentleman well his far from one,They had asked him I think his name is Tim or something to that effect,what date they should give me and without listerning he responded disrespectfully,he asked when my 1st date was they said the 24/10/22 but i missed it they explained.....without explaining the full story he said its not there problem that I missed my date and its my responsibility to have given the right contact no: the more I explained that I dont know were they got the no: and that they rescheduled me for 24/11/22 the more he was rude.I tried to defuse the situation by saying fine ill take the 28th seeing that they have scheduled me for that date he said NO give her the 29th Nov....i kept explaining my situation but they refused to listern.Later on he said if you want to come the 28th thats your problem see who will help you!!!!!! It was at that point that i wanted to see a manager,And he just pointed me in the direction and said go there see if I care!!!! I am disgusted at this behavior,why should one go out of your area just to get a better service,Health workers choose this profession,they put in time spend lots of money to HELP PEOPLE!!!!! instead people are mistreated,spoken to rudley and looked down on and ignored!!!!!! Its disgusting how he thinks that being in that profession gives him the ability to just speak down on me the way he did!!!! For those few hours sitting at that Hospital people had been treated as if they were **** of the earth to be honest the securities of that Hospital is more friendly and helpful other than the staff!!!! Receptionist felt she needed to address me as if i was 5years old!!!! All they needed to do was acknowledge that they were wrong instead they threw the blame on me and made me feel as if im an idiot... This hospital and staff honestly needs to be addressed for there behaviors....people argue with them and they walk away,,,,and the next day they do it again and mistreat the next patient exactly like this as no-one does anything about it.In that moment I wanted to leave everything and never step foot in a hospital again I would rather habe suffered with the amount of pain I go through daily than to be treated with this amount of disrepect,I then realised that there are platforms that I can make use of to be heard and this is my cry to this department,to not only just help me but the many who has walked away. How many other patients walked away without being helped and have a bitter taste of that hosp and never sat foot in a hospital again. They loose hope and life becouse of 1 and 2 people that has no empathy and a love for there jobs In the health department....this is not just a complaint but this is a plea to further investigate and help the struggling communities,get the proffetional help and assistance they deserve.
