Mitchells Fibre and Vumatel = BAD

I am working from home most of the time, not just in the lockdown period and was happy when it was announced that fibre would come Mitchells Plain and Strandfontein. Although we are restricted to a 20Mbps up and 10Mbps down, we were happy nonetheless. But more restrictions are being enforced without notifications, making it difficult and impossible to do my work from home. I have raised the concern when the first restrictions were implemented and after many arguments I gave in and decided to work around this. Today they have restricted all users from accessing the ONT device they've installed. And the more I try to explain that it is interfering with my work to a point where lost my cool, the more they don't care. Why do they want to control your entire connection? Are they monitoring us? ISP's dealing with them are furious.

I am fed up with companies like these that think communities in Strandfontein and Mitchells Plain are clueless. I can't wait for Frogfoot (or maybe more fibre providers) to come to our area.
