To purchase a second-hand used vehicle is never an easy task, especially in my case, where I decided to buy it on line, as the model I was looking for was not available here in Port Elizabeth. I did my homework, as much as I could, on reading reviews of dealers and found MITMAK Motors to be one of the best rated options in the market They also had the particular model of vehicle, being a VOLVO XC60 in my price range, so I committed myself to the purchase. I guess with purchasing a used vehicle, you will never know why the previous owner sold it, or what issues might come with it. It is therefore so important that you deal with a company that are committed to the customer and assist them should any problems arise. Unfortunately, my vehicle did come with its fair share of problems and if it would not have been for the MITMAK Motors team and in particular for Chris Liebenberg which is based at the Pretoria North branch, this experience would have been a real nightmare. Chris stood with me every step of the way to get all of the issues resolved, not forgetting that the car was now here in PE and he had to deal with the local mechanics and suppliers, which added to the complexity to the problem. During some of my frustrating outbursts, Chris kept his professional cool and assured me that they will take care of it and I don’t need to worry. I must admit, when I hear these words, I start to worry more, but in retrospect, Chris and MITMAK stood by their commitment to resolve all issues and provide me with a top-quality used car and I thank them for that.

improvement suggestion: to commit to the vehicle purchase, a deposit of R5000,- is required, which secures the car only for 48hrs this is all good and well if the vehicle is bought on HP. In my case, I purchased the vehicle cash, but had to get some of my investments released, which took longer than the prescribed 48hrs, which resulted in me taking out a bridge loan to pay for the car. My suggestion is that this window of 48hrs is extended to 72hrs and if the money is not received, the customer is than forfeiting the deposit.
