Mit Mak motors will waste your time

If I could give negative 500 stars, I would do it.

I phoned Mit Mak Motors to enquire about a car. They told me they were taking the car to JHB as someone was interested in the car. I told them to let me know what happened. At 13:00, I received a message that the person in JHB cancelled and I could have a look at the car.

I should have known that this business is in the business of wasting their customers' time.

The salesman gave me the wrong address of the business to start with, as there are two of the same dealerships in the same street. I went to the address he gave me and he was, in fact, at the other store.

When walking into the stores, you walk around looking for someone to assist you. No one is on the floor to help you. This was the case at all 3 stores.....

I should have known not to waste my time further.

My husband and I had a look at the car and we took a test drive. After the test drive, I told the salesman I was taking the car. All the info he required was sent the same day. I received confirmation that I was pre-approved still the same day.

The following morning they wanted to look at my car I was trading in. At 11:00, the manager phoned me to tell me I was approved and gave me information about my interest rate. He, however, told me that they had asked FNB to match the rate of another bank and he would let me know.

I told him I wanted to chat to my husband about the fact that they were saying they needed to replace two tyres on my Suzuki Swift that only has 24,000 km.

At 13:00, my husband phoned him and he told him there was another deal on the car. In a matter of 2 hours, they sold the car that I was busy buying to someone else.

Not once did they tell me that there was a 4-hour hold on this car. Why the hell did this pathetic manager not tell me at 11:00, when I spoke to him, that the so-called hold expires at 12:00????

I tried to phone this manager at 14:00 and 15:00. Not once did he answer his phone.

I then received a WhatsApp voice note from the salesman that the car had been sold to someone else.

How completely unprofessional...

Only after I told him that this is bull**** and his manager does not even have the decency to answer my calls, did the manager phone me.

I even phoned Bobby, the guy who tells everyone how good their service is. He told me he would investigate, and then I received these messages from the manager that we should get on the same page.

***.... Get on the same page....

Nothing further from Bobby....

I would strongly suggest not wasting your time to even go look at cars at Mit Mak Motors. They will only waste your time.

Go look anywhere else.

Their service is not good at all, it's absolutely pathetic!!
