Mit Mak Motors - not to be trusted

2019: We wanted to buy a vehicle from Mit Mak Motors Pretoria North. The dealer tried to forced us to buy a warranty on a vehicle in which we were interested in, but we disagreed in indicated that you can not be forced to buy warranty but you should be able to choose if you are interested in warranty or not. We in the meanwhile got quotes from AA Warranty and it was much cheaper then quoted by Mit Mak. We then decided on a different vehicle which still had a valid factory warranty and a later year model. The sales person again wanted us to buy extended warranty to cover them against come backs. A holding deposited was already paid by a different client but it was said that if we can pay for the car, the car is ours - as the other client have not come back with finance. My husband indicated to the sales person that we do not want to ***** another customers vehicle but they insisted that there is nothing to be concerned about. We have paid a % of the selling price and indicated that the balance will be paid on receipt of the vehicle. Later the same day MM have contacted us to say that the other client have already signed the agreement on the internet and therefor the car is legally theirs. MM indicated that we can have the older model (the first car) but we have to buy the Warranty which we have already indicated that we are not interested in. To us it seemed that they knew the car we wanted to buy was actually sold and they used the method of the deposit (amount to be paid) in order for us the client to buy another vehicle, since this vehicle is no longer available. We are very disappointed in the service we received and the way in which they try to manipulate clients to buy their vehicles, and all of this happening with the knowledge of the Manager.
