From Good to Bad to Worse

I was really excited at the prospect of buying a car from MMM but MIT Mak Motors in Pretoria has made sure this turns into a nightmare for me. I recently had the unfortunate experience of dealing with this Dealership group, and I can confidently say it is one of the worst customer experiences I've ever had. It was just after i sign the deal where the experience turned sour. MMM and their salesman by the name of Saddam took full advantage of the fact that i am based in Cape Town. I started being the one doing follow ups on the delivery of the car, car papers and every time i was thrown from pillar to post. This dealership demonstrated a complete lack of professionalism, integrity, and customer care.

When I asked about the car's maintenance history, Mr Saddam seemed evasive and couldn't provide any concrete information. It was evident that they were more interested in getting the car off the lot than ensuring it was in good working condition. This was shocking to me as the car was rated as 5 stars on auto trader. Dont be fooled by the so called pre-delivery inspection either. Its all a lies.

Don’t be fooled by the 5 stars rating they but on their cars on auto-trader, as i came to find out for myself it’s a marketing ploy. When the car finally arrived in Cape Town i was disappointed by the condition of the car. The rear view mirror housing was falling off the windscreen, the windscreen moulding is coming out, the stop start system is not working, Rear fog light wiring hanging loose, window tinting with a deep scratch, the engine bay cover falling on the ground. In the last 8 days i have had the car i discover more things that are popping up on the screen as error messages. After contacting MMM with these issues, i was referred to a Car workshop here in Cape Town and assured that the car will be fixed. After 2 days i was told my car is ready, only to get there and be told we can’t fix the stop start system, rear view mirror housing and to make matters worse on inspecting the car i found that they broke the door panel while replacing the window tinting. When i point this out to the workshop they start arguing with me and shifting the blame to a third party. I don't know who is worse MIT Mak Motors or the Workshop that they work with called Dealers online.

The lack of transparency, the high-pressure sales tactics, and the subpar condition of their vehicles make it a place to avoid at all costs. It is a truly nightmarish experience that I hope no one else has to endure.

The entire experience is a waste of my time, filled with frustration, deceit, and disappointment. I would strongly advise anyone to think twice before doing business with this dealership, more especially if you are not based in Gauteng like me.
