From Bad to Okay (My Experience)

I bought a 2017 Volvo S90 D50 for over half a million rand from Mit Mak Motors.

I received the car with a list of issues that was not listed or explained to me.

This Included things like:

1 x extremely worn tyre 1 x Faulty PDC Sensor 1 x Faulty Blind Spot Assist 2 x Faulty Batteries (Yes, the car has 2 batteries) causing the stop/start to malfunction.

These were the main issues, smaller issues were also present.

It took me weeks of fighting to and a really bad review on Hello Peter to get in touch with someone that was willing to help. Francois started assisting me in getting my issues sorted.

They took the car to Volvo to have the issues looked at and fixed, and unfortunately because Mit Mak Motors took some time to give approval for work to start, and the nature of the work Volvo had to do (fault tracing, ordering parts, replacing parts) the car was away for about a month. During this time Mit Mak Motors gave me a ridiculously small and beat up little car to drive, which did not even have a spare wheel. (Daihatsu Sirion) This was in comparison to my friend who at the same time bought a R200K Volvo in Rustenburg, and also sent it back for repairs, and he got a Volkswagen Tiguan as a loaner.

When they fetched the car from me they drove a route I asked them not to drive and damaged 2 rims and a tyre on the car.

They did however pay Volvo to fix the issues on the car, which totalled over R50K. They also reimbursed me for the tyre and 2 rims I had to repair.

During this 4 months of struggling to get the vehicle in a decent state I spoke to about 6 different people at Mit Mak Motors, and Francois was definitely the best to work with.

My inital 1 star review is now a 3 star review, but I cannot in all honestly say that I would ever buy or reccomend anyone to buy from Mit Mat Motors as my experience was really bad.
