Deposit worth nothing

Paid a holding deposit and the car we thought we were in the process of buying got sold while still in the holding period. Expected better than all the other bad experiences we've had so far in trying to buy a car from other dealerships but seems like they are all just the same. Don't bother giving your money to them as a holding deposit.
