******** content services charges

In 2015 I was charged over R4000 in content services for which I did not agree. I contacted WASPA with my complaints I only signed up for a contract of R275 per month with MTN for my Wifi router, which is used as a free service for my guests in my small backpackers in the middle of the rural Wild Coast. The MTN SIM card is in this Wifi Router.

The companies responsible for these contenct charges include:

Mira Networks

Basebone

Artiq B.V.

Crazy4media Mobile Limited

Omobi

MIM GmbH

Cructiq AG

Liberty Entertainment

Westbound Direct

Tech Garden Media

I cancelled all content services, and requested that if any more are attempted that 'OPT OUT' SMS's would be diverted to my personal phone. I also blocked them from my SIM card as well as getting WASPA and MTN to do the same. But to my shock and disgust, I am still being charged by MTN by direct debit. I was charged R1214 in May, R1164 in April, and R509 in March. Since March, I have again been charged an excess of R2062 in content subscriptions and I did not agree to this and am now wasting my time to try get refunds.

I have contacted MTN again to cancel these subscriptions, and I have requested to have my number changed in an attempt to get rid of all links to this number in future. Should they continue I will have no choice but to cancel my MTN contract, and then I will go public by putting this complain in the newspaper as well.
