Complete disregard for cybersecurity
Very unhappy I signed up for a 12-month contract. I asked for a contract from 1 June as I was moving into a new place. They installed beforehand, even though we only activated the service on 29 May, they're billing up from 19 May. We're supposed to get 2 months free, but the few days in May counted, my first debit is 1 July. Also they sent us a router that we cannot access (ie, set up our own password and change the network name). I've been advised any changes to the router we can ask them and they'll action the change. So you want me to email you the new password that I want on my home network? How safe... Blatant disregard for cybersecurity. I used to recommend MTS to everyone (I work in the tech industry so my suggestions are respected) because I had a good experience with them a few years ago at a previous property. Even my husband's small business makes use of them. Now, I cannot wait for this 12-month contract to conclude so I can move to another ISP.

Kindly note that our accounts and billing team will bill service date of activation from the FNO - (Fibre Network Operator) and Not date of installation nor the date of active usage generated from the user.
The promo of 2 months free does apply, the discount period is from date of activation once more.

4. EQUIPMENT
4.1. Ownership of all the equipment that we supply vests in us, including routers, firewalls, switches and access points.

It is a Free to use router - our customers are welcome to use their own networking equipment that they can manage themselves.
There is also the option to purchase the router to gain administrative rights or be granted access after 1 year of service.
We do not disregard the threats that cybersecurity poses,we are well aware of them. However E-mails exchanged between ourselves and customers are AES 256-bit encryption when data is encrypted at rest and HTTPS with TLS 1.2 encryption for data in transit.
We do respect and value your level of expertise in the tech industry, as well as appreciate your opinion as our customer
However these are terms,conditions and policies that have been implemented.
