Shocking service delivery
I bought a Toyota Quantum GL 14 Seater at this branch. Cash Sale, before collection of the vechile/van, I noticed that there was a dent in the front bumper, I ask the salesman to have it fixed. The sub- contractor they used to fix the dent sprayed the bumper the wrong colour white, it was sent back, second time around, the repair work done to the bumper was so badly done, that I refused to take ownership of the van on the day of collection. They eventually got it right. The van was due for its 80 000km service, fortunately they couldn't get a appointment to have the van service. I took the van to Toyota Capegate. I told them { Toyota } that they must check the wheel alignment and that I heard a t******* sound coming from the front of the van. Toyota did the service, and discovered that the brakes, front and rear was done, I only drove +/-700km. I told Toyota not to replace the brakes, as I couldn't understand how the van could have passed the roadworthy test when there was literally no brakes on the van. I contacted the salesman at Nissan Milnerton, who said that they would have never sold the van to me if it didn't pass the roadworthy test, as it was a passenger vechile. He advised me to bring the van in to be checked out, that was 3 days ago. I was advised that the sub-contractor had to send the drums away to be sceemed. What I don't understand, if all the AA safety checkes was done, van roadworthyed, how is it possible that there was no brakes on the van. Something just does sounds right. What's more annoying is that I have to wait 3 days for something that should have been sorted out before it was sold.
