Ridiculously *********** Service

Once upon a time, 6 months ago to be exact, I had a non-start issue with my Nissan Tiida 2006 hatch. I decided to seek professional help (instead of a private mechanic) from the official Nissan dealership closest to me at the time, being Nissan Milnerton - willing to incur a higher cost for the warranty thereafter and professionalism ofcourse.

Firstly my car was sent in for a major service which was missed however, as well as the problematic start of the car. In this first experience, the service was completed in a few days, and the fault finding process apparently took 6 weeks - in this period I was not informed for weeks as to what was happening with the vehicle, and only upon calling in more than twice a week to try and speak to the service attendant who was in charge of this. He was almost always busy when I called for an update, which I then left multiple messages for him to call me back which was received well, but never actioned upon over the many weeks it was in - when I did get an update, they said it was due to electrical fault finding which could take very long.

Fair enough, I left it until I received the car back, supposedly fixed and would not have to ever go back. However when I took the vehicle home, it did work well, but once left for the night in my parking, in the morning it had the exact same issue, it did not want to start. I spoke to Nissan, and they advised that I would need to tow the car to the dealership firstly, in order for them to look at it again - which I did.

5 months later, the car having being sent back to me twice more, with the same issue presenting itself the same way a day after receiving it back, my car is still sitting at the dealership to no avail, after extremely bad service the whole way, fighting with them to release the car to me now to take elsewhere, and they now do not want to release the car without me having to pay for a part in the control unit which they replaced WITHOUT my authorization, in order to get the car back - the part obviously also did not work as it still has the same issue.

I am currently still trying to discuss with them in order to put the "old" broken part back in the vehicle and take it away, which apparently is also a problem. Myself and my lady have both been out a vehicle, which is the utmost frustrating thing out of all, as commute to work is an hour now each way, as well as just going to the shop for groceries for example is an issue now for too long, due to the fact we were never offered or given, even after asking multiple times and then promised to no avail, a courtesy vehicle for the time being.

Hence I felt I needed to atleast let someone know about this sad situation, as well as to warn others of this matter so as not to be caught like me.
