Worst utilities ever

This people is the worst ever….. they switch off power without any communication via telephone or mail… when you phone the accounts dep they say that on the new invoice that come out you own R270 or so and later on when you phone they say its in the 1000s

This people send me every month invoices for over the 1000s to pay even if my account if up to date…. They have the worse customer service ever… every month i had to pay a electricity deposit which is not that i was expecting to do when i moved in… first when i moved in the agent said that the electricity connection fee is R500 then then i went in to midcity offices they said no its R1100. After fighting and phone calls every month i must pay electricity deposit fee…. The account dep said that they will come back to you and never come back. Please stay away from any property that is going though midcity. You will pay your ass off every month. If i wanted to pay all this kind of money to midcity i would have just went and rent a place with the district power and not sub district

Who ever use this company GOOD LUCK FOR YOU!!!

Midcity YOU ARE THE WORST EVER

Good day Mr. Ludik We’ve sent you two direct emails regarding your complaint. Please note the following:
  1. Your account was in arrears. – Statements and notices are sent via email and sms.
  2. A risk deposit is required and reviewed as per the Municipal Bylaws.
We’ve emailed you an extract of the Municipal Bylaws highlighting the requirements of risk deposits. Also, in our standard agreement that was completed by yourself, the risk deposit requirements are clearly set out. If account holders do not pay their accounts on the due date, we must act and apply credit control measures, the same a that the Municipality does. This includes disconnection power supply until the account and costs have been paid in full. Please ensure that your account is paid up timeously every month to avoid unfortunate costs and being disconnected. Regards,
MidCity Utilities
