Pathetic: Letter of Demand after 3 days
Statement was received on the 23 Feb to pay by 4th of March. My parents are pensioners and made a payment of R400 and made arrangement with them this month to pay the balance on the 9th March.
On the 7th of March we get letter of demand instructing them to pay otherwise the water will be disconnected and on top off that they added R172, 50 for sending the letter of demand.
My question is, this is against the law, how can a company send a letter of demand after 3 days of an account been due???? Companies start charging interest after 30, 60 90 days but never have we come across this. I am definitely going to be taking this further, this is a *******
