MidCity Utilities - USELESS AND ******* OPERATIONS

If there was a minus star I would have chosen that star. This Company is the worst I have ever had to deal with. In the month of August 2019 we received an inflated electricity bill in the amount of R4700 from them, - for a 2 bedroom townhouse. I disputed the amount and was told that the onus is on me to prove them wrong. Obviously I was unable to do so because a month has already passed since they took their so-called reading. They then proceeded to charge a disconnection fee to the value of R800 as well as a R180 for the Final Demand letter. I was held ransom with the disconnection of my electricity and had to pay the full amount. Our average monthly usage of electricity is R2500. MidCity proceeded to charge our account with a risk deposit increase of R700. They are flatly refusing to discuss or negotiate this matter. They just keep loading charges and we are forced to pay. The have the most abrupt, rude "Assistant Credit Controller" Michael Phoshoko that we have ever come across. I find their way of operating totally ******* and will report them to the Ombudsman, the Rental tribunal and every other place I can find. We are paying our account, but this poor organisation must be in great financial trouble having to operate at this ******* level to force more money out of people who are already struggling. And the fact that they REFUSE to even discuss solutions are so frustrating. I will really go live on the street than ever having to stay in a complex managed by this useless organisation again. I am at my wits end because I cannot afford all these additional costs which I am not responsible for,
