I FEEL ****MED BY MIDCITY UTILITIES

I received my Sep utility invoice and it's R18000 according to midcity my water meter was unreadable looks like it's been this way for 18 months and they assumed usage and ofcause no-one told me...the reading they've done on the 6 Aug 2024 was a complete wild guess of 925 and last reading they could see something through the mold in water meter which is 1241 which the last 2 numbers are not clear...how does a whole billing department work on guess I don't believe my meter was 925 in Aug (first reading) I believe it was in the range of 12something....how is it ok for them to rob me in broad daylight?. Why is this not worked on average based on previous usage...I have been emailing and no1 is responding they want to guess but don't want to send me the 925 reading as i requested because their guess is completely impossible I have not use 316kl for a month. I will not be ****med by these people based on their guess work. According to them the body Corp was suppose to advise me of the water meter ( which body Corp has not) but even so it still doesn't make it ok to bill me for a month's usage that is not accurate. I have the right to a correct invoice, in this case base my usage on average before the 18 months of the water meter being unreadable. - Is there anyone in this department that's willing to help clients? I will not pay R18000 for your people guess I need this matter resolved asap and hopefully someone will help and work this horror out fairly.
