Deposit Refund

I was renting a flat at one of Midcity properties, paid a deposit of 4350 and when i vacated the flat they only refunded me R1842 and they said the rest of the money is to repaint. i requested that they send me a cost breakdown of how they got to the amount they deducted and they have been giving me a run around since then. The lady that was helping me told me she doesn't have the file with her and i told her i will wait for her to get the file and she send me deposit - damages = refund and i said that's not enough cause i did my own calculation and i can see that and that when she told me they don't have the cost breakdown is with contractor and month end when they receive the invoice they will send me the breakdown but nothing. i would not recommend them to anyone, even they service we received when we were there is disappointing, the fact that we stayed for over a week without using the bath tub because their pipes were old and they blocked, our bath tub was filled with sewage water, the smell was unbearable and they want me to pay to repaint the bath tub that put acid in to unblock the pipes.
