Poor service quality from Midbay Motors
I took my work vehicle for a 60000km service earlier this year, picked up my vehicle after being told it was ready had to drive from Richards Bay to Durban straight after the service. Left Midbay motors on was travelling on the freeway when the oil light came on, closest fuel station was Mvoti plaza, stopped to check oil, had to put in 4 bottles of oil (2 litres) before the level was normal. Returned to Midbay the following day to take up issue with workshop manager, manager asked me to allow them to run diagnostics to check if everything was right, all looked fine, they were going to reimburse me for the oil cost but was never done. Next service was 75000km in August, service advisor called to say front brake pads needed to be replaced, back was fine, two months later grinding noise from rear wheel, returned to Midbay, after inspection find that rear brake pads were non existent and discs were now damaged and had to be replaced at a cost of R4000 for the two discs and R3800 for the fitment of the discs and pads. There is obviously no quality management system in place to monitor the work done and ensure that it is completed properly. Having your vehicle serviced at Midbay can be very costly.
