I purchased a pre-owned vehicle from Midbay motors which when drove it home the car started reporting faults and the dealer has failed to fix it twice and I am now paying for a product that I am not using.

On 02 October 2017 I purchased a vehicle Volkswagen Polo 1.4 comfort line with Midbay motors master cars department. I noticed a number of faults on the vehicle only after two days of purchase. I returned the car to the dealer (Midbay motors) twice with no success in resolving the problems hence the vehicle is still sitting with the dealer again since 24 October 2017 for the third time in a space of two weeks.

With the above mentioned, the salesperson had verbally and by 80-point inspection results assured me that the vehicle is fully serviced, road worthy and in a full running state. Nathi misrepresented a material fact that I re**** on in deciding to purchase the car.

I am not happy and very disappointed by the dealership as I had made it clear that the vehicle is for business. I paid them R159,900.00 ($11,340.00), since then I have made more losses the I would’ve imagined paying instalments, insurances, all associated policies and losing a full month worth business.

Therefore, I will not be accepting this vehicle back and I am expecting the dealer to replace with a different vehicle (partially discussed) at no additional costs, failing which I will kindly accept back the amount paid.

The dealer has then decided to quote me on a ridiculously expensive vehicle that I cannot afford and told me to take it or they give me the the car I am not happy.

Kindly assit.
