Workshop service experience

Today I went to the Mike Lessing MICA hardware workshop in Voortrekker street Kempton Park to have a hole cut into a piece of hardboard. While I was waiting for the workshop assistant to fetch the correct tool, I asked the white elderly gentleman wearing a MICA shirt that arrived minutes later to switch off the very load cutting tool as I could not converse with the assistant. He refused to switch off the machine. I asked him again and again he refused. Note that he only came to cut wood for a client on the cutting tool after the my assistant Charles started to assist me, so he arrived second and could have allowed my assistant, Charles, to finish the task he started with me. As a result of the load machine noise , I could not explain to Charles how to cut the hole. He ended up cutting the hole too big. I wanted to guide him to cut inside and not outside the thick line I drew on the board. But due to the load noise I couldn't. I feel frustrated because this other elderly man disrespected me. Now I have to restart the project, buy a new piece of hardboard, draw a circle with pencil and re-request the workshop to cut a circle. This is very inconvenient and costly.
