Inconvenience experienced

I called and spoke to Lloyd at paints department Westville mika hardware on 26th about weatherguard special and asked him to keep 2 palamino which i intended to collect b4 special was over which he indicated ended on 3rd. On 2nd I called at 2 to confirm that i will collect However reception indicated as paint department was busy they will call back. I waited almost an hour and tried to call back but phone kept ringing. I went to store personally was told the special ended on 31st. I indicated i called earlier and was told paint department will call me. The paint department indicated they didn't receive any msg from reception. Reception admitted that msg wasn't conveyed When i spoke to Manager he indicated he accepted full responsibility for miscommunication and although he understood my inconvenience there was no way he would give product at special price. Is this how customers are treated.
