Horrible Servie! - Stay away

Mica Doringkloof Mall My wife purchased a can of spray glue on Sunday at closing time. She just Ran in the shop, and an assistant or salesperson handed her a can.

When she came home and handed it to me at home, I immediately noticed the can has glue on the outside, and by looking at the nozzle, it was obvious that it has been used. Since it being an expensive product, I decided to return it asap for a replacement.

Since Mica was closed already, I could not return it immediately. I could only manage to return it 3 after purchase. Immediately everyone that “assisted” me looked at me with skepticism, blatantly rude, and suspicious of my actions as if I’m not telling the truth.

The sales assistant blatantly ****, as he said he remembered the transaction, that he handed her the can, and that the can did not look like that and was not used when it left the store.

I requested to speak to the manager, after which he immediately just went on the word of the salesperson without question. I became quite upset, left the store, only to return as I could not accept such blatant disrespectful treatment.

Upon return I asked if we could look at the camera footage, after which the manager rep**** that he won’t be able to make out the condition of the can. I began making a scene of the whole scenario that did not have to escalate to such horrible customer service.

They retrieved a new can from the shelf, and there was a noticeable difference in the weight. Clearly they sold my wife a used product, and tried to deny it - Unacceptable!

In the end the manager swopped it as I was adamant to get what I paid for!

In conclusion: This is unacceptable service that left a bitter taste in my mouth. The whole company culture in that store is that of superficial service, and disrespect to its clients. I would seriously recommend the owner of that store take a closer look at practices, because Mica has forever lost me as a client.

I would much rather drive 5 min longer, and go to builders warehouse, or Chamberlain where I know I will be treated like a human being. My recommendation: Stay away from this store, rather support businesses where you know you will be treated like a valued client!
