Discriminate and Undermine people

I’ve never felt so discriminated against by security and the manager at this Mica hardware store in Norkem park. Mind you, this is my local store that I support.

I had just come from the gym next door and was riding my bicycle. I wanted to buy a painting brush and a few globes.

I asked security if I could park my bicycle closer to the door, but he told me I should leave it far away from the door. I was fine with that until he made an undermining remark, saying, "You shouldn't worry about your bicycle. I look after much more expensive bicycles than yours, which are ridden by white

people and cost about R15,000." I was fine with that until the manager came along before entering the store and told me to leave my backpack on the floor next to the door.

I felt so discriminated against and treated like a *****. Luckily, there is another hardware store in Norkem Mall, and I was able to get help there.

You won’t see me in this store again.
