Surplus Fund Closed for Claims 30/11/2018
Mibfa has closed the Surplus fund claims on 30/11/2018.A close friend of mine has recently just heard about the possibility of him having funds. My friend has been told by Justin Monyemohonoe the manager of Mibfa JHB that it is impossible for him to have only heard now only.Yet he said that this was communicated and i quote " Members that were "still working" in the metal industries between 2008 to 2012 were informed by their employers, union representatives and shop stewards about the surplus scheme".
What happened between 2012 and 2018.Nobody tried contacting him. I say if it is easy for the debt collectors to get hold of you,why couldn't Mibfa do the same.
My friend believes that he does have money in the fund. The money is now going to forfeit into the government. There are 100's of 1000's of people that Mibfa did not make contact with to let know that they have money available. The people are hungry yet they are closing the opportunity for you to claim their own money.
This is UNFAIR and it is *********!! No where on the internet has there been any indication given about the deadline when you go on their page.
I have also read that the Surplus will forfeit in 30years if unclaimed. from 2011 till 2019? come one you can count!!!
With the economic being as it is today. The cost of living is so high above you wages and salaries. HOW COULD THEY DO THIS???
They did not try hard enough to let the hungry people of SA know that they have Surplus Money!!
