Provident fund payout waiting time

Good day,my husband resigned June,28,2023.His H.R sent his documents for his provident payout and comp**** with everything,on quering how far along the process are,because he is calling MIBFA provident fund dept.each week,only to hear that they are waiting for SARS,then it will be processed.Now the question,how long does it take for provident fund to pay out,as it is already more then 6weeks?With other words,the fact that his documents were already submitted the last week when he was still employed,he is going to wait now another 6-12 weeks again?
