Provident fund

My mom Recently tried to Claim my late Fathers Provident fund, as the beneficiary and She was Told it was paid out to her but she didn't sign for anything even the Account they said they sent it to, nothing was sent. Someone please help because we've been calling and sending emails but we received no Help.
