MIBFA delays death claims due laziness of some stuff members
MIBFA is the best company but they need few adjustments like people who processes death claims. People like Suzan at MIBFA contradicts 37C of the pension fund act, the attitude she has towards beneficiaries is bad. I lodged a claim with MIBFA via PostNet and my claim was registered last year May 2024. I kept on contacting call centre they told me to wait , February when I called I was told to visit the office, I traveled from mpumalanga to MIBFA suddenly in March 2025 in my application for death benefits have been parked dormant. In terms of section 37C of the PFA states that the fund have 12 months to trace all beneficiaries and allocate & distribute the funds without any further delay. There is only 18 days for the claim to be finalized but there seems to be no any kind of communication even though I send emails and calls my last hope before going to pension fund adjudicator I trust this platform. Claim processors of MIBFA must be sympathetic and helpful and not to park and delay our claims as these will make us going to litigation that can cost the fund unnecessary. And I pray that MIBFA's management take a look at Suzan's performance and work, there's even a further allegation from someone I know it's what she does mostly for Claims from the rural so please 🙏 help before this explodes. Means of communication like emails, SMS, calls, Whatsapp messages when haven't been exhausted as remedies of communication then it's unfair and the applicant suffer from the prejudice of the delay.
