Lying to clients

When I resigned mibfa said my payment will take 20 working days and even if you go on their website it says exactly the same. When i started emailing them asking when i will receive my money cause im not working wanting to start my own business. Now the come and say 4 to 8 weeks. They lie to you and now I'm sitting without income if I knew that I would havr looked for a temporary work.
