Less payment, for 40+years in the industree

My father gave me the info and state that he worked for 40+ years in the industry and all that he got was the below

R 1,775.62 on the 19/10/2012 R 29,2248.93 on the 26/07/2012 R 36,429.54 on the 06/11/2013

Kindly confirm as he believe that he should get more and it does not make sence that one can work for 40+ years and only recieve the above
