i have been a member of the mibfa since i joined the metal industry, i have been contributing as far as i can remember. i have been receiving communication that i will be receiving my surplus money when i go on pension. i recently went on pension as i am expecting the money i am told i don't qualify for a surplus because i stop contributing and the letter has no stamp nor reference number, as compared to the other letters i have been receiving this one is rather *****, i tried contacting mifba but to no luck no one can assist me in resolving when and how i suddenly don't qualify when i have never had anything paid out to me, as a pensioner i am dependent on this money and i need answers. i am surprised at the fact that to my inconvenience i no longer qualify when the money is suppose to be paid out.. i need proof that i haven't been contributing and if the money was paid to who and how. Mibfa fails to provide me with answers. frustrated pensioner
