Bad service from Metal Industries pension fund

My father has been a pensioner for the last 18 years with MIBFA they were contacted 5 years ago regarding the closure of his postal box and asked to send all correspondence to his e-mail address everything was fine until this month. His pension was stopped due to him not verifying that he is still alive. Now that the verification was done they informed me that he will wait for 4 weeks to get his pension re instated. They maintained that they send notices out to all pensioners via the postal system. They have a notices that they need to contact him via e-mail. They maintain it is not their problem the old man must wait and that there is 4000 pensioners that did not verify and that is that
