why is my medical aid in suspense?
I became a member of GEMS in January to be effective as of the 1st of Feb 2015, in February, I experienced no problems, but now when I went to the pharmacy to buy my contraception tablets, I was told that my medical aid is suspended. Two weeks back, a lady from Livingstone hospital HOUR phoned to inform me that contributions for my medical aid had come off another person's salary, a person who shares the same surname as me. Why this took place I don't know. I recently received my persal number, it is ***3, and I am employed by the Nelson Mandela Bay Health District. My membership number is ***. Somebody please assist, I need to know if i'll be paying a medical aid for 0 benefits, or will my benefits be reinstated.
